I am looking for genealogical information concerning John Finch (b. 1795, CT, d. aft. 1880 in Mantorville, MN). He arrived in Mantorville abt. 1854 and is shown on pg. 3, Dewelling 1, Family 1 on the 1857 Territorial Census as the head of household at the age of 63. The other family members were: Mercy Wilson, female-age 29 and Ella Wilson, female-Age 9. I assume Mercy to his daughter with a married name but have not verified that. Bancroft, Celestia E. Finch Bancroft is the daughter of John Finch. The Bancrofts and John Finch are on a picture of the early settler's photo for Mantorville, MN. Seeking information regarding John (L.) and Mary Ellen Tierney KING who were residents of Claremont, MN between approx. 1875 through 1912. They were parents of 12 children, the oldest, my grandfather, James Carl King, was born Nov. 1, 1876 in St. Charles, MN. Several daughters died as small children/infants and were buried in the area. Other children were: Marjorie King Starbird, Anna La Belle King Nelson, Rosemary King, Josephine King Moore, Julia Rose King Pettit, Edward King, Thomas King, and John L. King Jr. The family moved from the Claremont, MN area in approx. 1912 and went to a farm near Portal, ND where they stayed until the mid-1920's. John and Mary Ellen King moved to the Everett, Washington, area in 1926 or 1927. They lived in that area until their death and are buried in a cemetary in Everett, WA. Their daughters, Julia R. King Pettit, Marjorie King Starbird, and son, Thomas King are also buried in Evergreen Cemetary in Evertt, WA.

I've run into a brick wall with my great grandmother, Florence E. DOUGLASS. I'm trying to find out the names of Florence's mother and father. Here is what I know about her.
Florence E. DOUGLASS married Wallace Sumner GRANGE in Milton (Dodge County), Minnesota, in 1884 (possibly April 24). Her parents (who had come to MN from Indiana) and some siblings lived in West Concord, MN, when she died in 1993. More details:
Wallace Sumner Grange attended school (perhaps a seminary??) in Wasioja. Florence and Sumner GRANGE had four sons, Ralph Douglass (who died in "early childhood"), Earl Wesley, Ross E., and John D. I don't know whether Ralph died in Minnesota or after the Granges moved to Iowa. I believe the DOUGLASS family lived in Dodge County from at least 1884 through 1893. Florence died in Geneseo, Illinois, in 1893 of blood poisoning. Her obituary states that she left sisters and a brother and parents, in addition to 3 small children and a husband. Her father and a sister, Miss Douglass, of West Concord, MN, attended her funeral. Some mementos tied with ribbons bearing the initials WTCU were sent to her mother in West Concord. Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.
