BAUMGARTNER
Looking for information on the Baumgartner family living in Dodge County in 1870 and 1880. Rudolph and Susan Baumgartner and sons Jacob(half-brother) Rudy, John and Fred. Rudoph came to Wisconsin with his Father John Jacob in 1846 from Glarus, Switzerland. He married Susan Dinger in Green County,Wisconsin and moved to Dodge County MN. I have found them in the 1870 and 1880 census. If any one has access to the 1875 MN State Census, I would appreciate a look up to see if John is still in the family as he is not listed with the family in the 1880 census. Family legend has it that their were four siblings but we only knew of Jacob, Rudy(my Great grandfather) and Fred untill I found John in the 1870 census I would love to know what happened to John between the 1870 and 1880 census. Looking through the list of Baumgartner graves in Bern Cemetary, I cannot find a John listed. Thank you Susan Egan Palatka, FL SusanEgan40@hotmail.com

Many of my Thoe ancestors are buried in West St. Olaf Cemetery.  I wondered if there is a listing of burials for this cemetery.  My great great grandfather, Odd Knute Thoe immigrated to Kasson, MN with his family in 1872.  He farmed in Vernon Township for about 10 yrs and then left for Day County, South Dakota.  He had several family members who lived in this area and immigrated before him.  Thanks for any help.  Kathy Sigdestad  kathysig1@hotmail.com

I am looking for verification of the death of a Gary Lee Scholl, last known address was 213 3rd St.N.E., Hayfield, MN.  He was a former classmate of mine in Iowa in the late 1950's, and not knowing for sure whether he is still with us, if it would be prudent to send a class reunion invitation to that address.  I have tried to access the Hayfield Herald newspaper for this information, but it appears their server is down, as the same question to them has gone unanswered, and I cannot gain access into their paper's site.  No one amongst other classmates seems to know if Mr. Scholl's death is factual.  Can you please help?  Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide. Louise was wife of Harry Abel Davis Cotton.  Harry was born 21 June 1865 in New Hampshire and is my great uncle.  Louise was born in January 1874 in Wisconsin according to census data.  She and Harry married in Wisconsin 16 May 1894 probably in Juneau County since this is where the family was living in 1900.  Moved to Dodge Center sometime after 1900 since the 1900 federal census has them still living in Wisconsin.  I believe her father and mother, Henry Schueneman and Margaruite S. Aegerter Schueneman, purchased and operated a creamery in Dodge Center with Harry A. D. Cotton working for him.  This is according to 1910 federal census information.   Harry and Louise had two children, Orville V. and Charlotte G.  Orville was born in Wisconsin in January 1900 and Charlotte in Dodge County 20 November 1916.  Harry died 13 January 1946.  Orville died 20 June 1932 and Charlotte died 3 October 1938.  Louise's father, Henry, died 30 January 1924 in Dodge Center and her mother, Margaruite, died 30 December 1925.   Louise was living in Dodge Center probably in the early to mid-1950s.  I remember going as a young boy with my parents to visit her.  I know very little of this family.  I am unable to find her (Louise's) death date and locate where this family is buried.  I hope that someone can help.  cotton149@attbi.com

Benjamin CONGDON, born probably in Vermont. Married (1) Sybil CRATSENBERG, date and location of the marriage unknown, Sybil reportedly died in Minnesota about 1863. (2) Cynthia (POLING or DAVIS), date and location unknown, they had at least one child, Dora, my grandmother, born in Wasioja, either 1864 or 1866, both years listed variously on marriage and death records as are the names POLING and DAVIS for her mother’s maiden name, (3) Adeline GREEN, 24 Mar 1870, Dodge, Minnesota, this according to the Church of Latter Day Saints’ Individual Record for Benjamin CONGDON.
I am seeking information regarding:
-Death of Sybil CRATSENBERG.
-Marriage to Cynthia POLING, DAVIS.
-Divorce from Cynthia.
-Marriage to Adeline GREEN.
According to the 1870 US Census, Cynthia Congdon is listed as living in Lake Crystal, Blue Earth County, Minnesota. Benjamin Congdon is not listed. I found on the internet, a strange record regarding a much sought after relative's history.
Surname KATREIN,
Given Name  Henry.
What I found says his name in regestered on Minnesota Naturalization Records Index, St. Paul, Dodge county (?).
It is a Declaration of Intention in the years 1858-1906, says
"Numbers 1-555". "REEL 1" Volume "A", page 534.
We think his wife's name was Minnie, we think he had a daughter named Josephine born 1913. We are sure they are buried somewhere near Turtle Lake, WI. but could be wrong.
Immigration cannot help me in Wash. DC because I cannot supply a birthdate of Henry. Can you help? He would be the only link to the "old country" Judy
